For some time now I get scripting errors running ActiveX objects.
I get this message with a weather object:
ActiveX-part could not make an object: "Scripting FileSystemObjec
Line: 8
Code: not available

Line 8 says: Set filesys = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")

I tried removing & reinstalling DesktopX, but it didn't fix it

Any tips?

Thanx in advance,
Dennis.

More info: I got this problem since v3 (beta). "Modern" objects & widgets just don't work anymore since then.
Is there a way to really completely uninstall DesktopX?
I tried the following:
Uninstall DesktopX via StarDock Central
Manually removed the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Stardock\DesktopX
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Stardock\DesktopX
And manually deleted the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\DesktopX key in the registry.
Rebooted the machine and then reinstalled DesktopX via SDC.

Am I forgetting something?

Make sure you've got the latest script engine from Microsoft?

Thanx Chris, that's was the one!

Always thought that the script engine was updated with the regular Windows updates.
Installed and rebooted and no problems...

Mucho kudos for you!
